For a few years, it looked like India was finally opening up to the idea that cannabis wasn't all bad. There were movements for legalization, parliamentarians openly supported its production, and a pothead's eyes were not only red but hopeful. This has all gone haywire over the past few years as we have catastrophically regressed, but there are countries in the world where weed is not only decriminalized but enthusiastically enjoyed, like this one.
- Jamaica
The most obvious choice, Bob Marley's earth and the red, gold and green flags. Jamaica might be synonymous with ganja, but surprisingly, the weed wasn't decriminalized until 2015. Now you can own up to 2 ounces or up to five plants for personal use.
- Netherlands
One word: Amsterdam. Too much has been written and said about his progressive views on cannabis and his famous cafes. Every stoner's dream is to go there: get high, pedal the canals and have a good time.
- Canada
In October 2018, Canada became the second country in the world to legalize recreational cannabis nationwide. You can literally go online, order premium bud and have it delivered the next day without fear of confusion. They even put it in their maple syrup!
- Argentina
Argentina was actually the first country in the world to provide free medical marijuana to patients and also decriminalized recreational cannabis. Heck, they even have their own cannabis clubs. What else do you need?
- Colombia
Cannabis is decriminalized here, and you can actually grow up to 20 plants for personal use. Although technically illegal, the sale of marijuana is not generally considered a felony by authorities.
